Transportation

Mountain View Holiday Home can offer our guests a selection of vehicles in first-class condition, complete with all safety features and compliant with Government Regulations, all vehicles are privately owned, we do not use leasing or rental companies. The drivers are trusted with the ability and licenced to drive the required vehicle and to take care of our guests at all times whether on a short journey or a many day tours. Hotel/Guest House accommodation can be arranged to suit our guest's needs throughout the tour.  We keep in contact with the driver(s) over these periods.  The above photos are a selection of vehicles and types on offer subject to availability. Day rates and Kilometre rates for transportation can be negotiated prior to the day of travel.

Transportation can be arranged for one-day journeys from Kandy to see a site or multiple sites (outward) around a 3 hour journey time, after returning to the Holiday Home for evening dinner or overnight stay.  There are many famous and desirable tourist areas within the Kandy 3 hour radius as follows:-

MULTIPLE DAYS Between 2 to 12 Days Most Selected, there is no restriction to the maximum number of days.

The selection of the Tour Route and content can be arranged & agreed by the Guest, Driver and Ourselves prior to departure(as early as practicable in the Holiday Home Lounge) which may contain continuous site seeing and daily stopovers at selected locations requiring an Hotel or Guest House overnight, if the Hotel/Guest House does not provide free accommodation and food for the Driver there is a small charge per night.  Tours can be based on a Daily rate or Kilometre rate as aforestated.

The Cultural Triangle includes Five of SRI LANKA'S Seven World Heritage Sites.

1. The sacred city of Anuradhapura (4BC)
2. The Medieval capital of Polonnaruwa (10AD)
3. Sigiriya rock fortress (5AD)
4. The Cave Temples of Dumbulla (1BC)
5. The Royal City of Kandy. (17AD)

The other 2 Heritage Sites are:-

1. The Sinharaja Forest Reserve (Tropical Rain Forest)
2. The Dutch Fortifications at Galle (17AD)

1. Collect from the Airport to Kandy visit selected sites within 3-hour radius as stated above continue to Dumbulla - Sigiriya - Anuradhapura - Polonnaruwa - Hot water wells - Trincomalee - Jaffna - Return to Kandy- Colombo City or Negombo or continue with Item 3)
2. Collect at the Airport to Negombo Beach Resort /Fishing harbour then on to Kandy
3.
