My sister and I spent one of our last days in Sri Lanka at MVHH, and the lovely family who welcomed us with open arms were so hospitable, we didn’t want to leave. Makes a big difference staying with SL locals who have a lot to share about life lived on the island. Don was up until late in the night with us, we discussed so many interesting topics, it was great to speak with such an open and informative man! Really loved our time there, plus all the little decorative touches around the house & breakfast in their backyard with a stunning view all added to the experience. Getting there is an adventure too!

We really enjoyed the stay. The host is really friendly and helps to organize trips, Tuk-Tuks and so on. Breakfast was delicious! The room was clean and nice, the garden is beautiful and it is in the mountains which is nice (and you have a nice view). All in all one of the best places we stayed! Loved it.

My husband and I have traveled to over 70 countries and stayed in a variety of accommodations. This was THE best, most personalised experienced we have had. The staff welcomed us as one of her family and did absolutely everything to make our stay superb. We booked for 2 nights, but extended. The guest house is off the beaten track, but for us this was a big plus. You can sit in the gardens overlooking the mountains and experience blissful peace! We did day trips to the elephant orphanage, tea plantation and Sigiriya. The option of dinner is VERY reasonable and includes wonderful fresh produce, freshly cooked for about $8. I literally couldn’t move the first night! Breakfast is similarly wonderful and plentiful. The standard room is absolute value for money, but if you can afford, I recommend the room with the balcony for an even better experience. You can always book one night and then extend at a better rate. At the end of our stay, we were dropped at the train station and, for the first time I hugged my host, with tears in my eyes! Honestly, a lasting impression, we will be back. I hope you get to experience this wonderful hospitality too!

The couple that own and run this guest house was friendly and wanted to make sure that all their guests were comfortable and well looked after. They make the delicious breakfast themselves. They even helped us organise a day trip out of Kandy to Nearby Dambulla and Sigiriya for a good price. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the view from our room in the hills overlooking Kandy was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again!

Our stay at Mountain View Holyday Home was absolutely wonderful. We were met with a warm and loving welcome and we immediately felt at home. Mr. Donald and Mrs. Sunanda did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible, and they sure did a GREAT job in doing so. They are very helpful to make plans and arrangements and where and what to do. The room was big and clean. Nice and clean bathroom and WiFi in room (to those who needs it). There was a beautiful view from the small balcony and we enjoyed the fresh and clean air! They are both brilliant cooks, and we enjoyed the homemade meals they prepared with much love. Actually we regret the night we ate out!!! There is nothing like a delicious home cooked meal among family and friends. We would defenetly stay here again, only just for more than a few days. Brilliant hospitality and Donald and Sunandra made us feel really welcome. We would reiterate all the comments praise and plaudits already bestowed and say to anyone "This guesthouse goes beyond what one would expect, it is more of an exclusive homestay for specially invited friends of the family" It is however quite a way out of town, but it is easy to arrange tuc tucs and they are very reliable. Being out of town it is lovely and peaceful and the views from the guesthouse are fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone - you wouldn’t regret it

We were given a hearty welcome as good friends and our stay feeling just like our home in Russia, friendly with a cosy atmosphere. Mountain View Holiday Home provided us with a warm, comfortable accommodation which was spacious enough for our needs with a clean en-suite bathroom. We had a picturesque view of Kandy and the mountains from our balcony. The room TV offered a variety of channels, a comfortable bed and excellent Wi-Fi. The inclusive breakfast is fit for a King which Mr. Donald makes and Mrs. Sunanda prepares dinner like the best restaurant in Sri Lanka. The Home is located in a very quiet area without pollution and well situated for visiting Kandy. We would definitely stay here again and again, good value for money and would recommend the home to our friends. The owners of the house helped us and guided us during our pleasant stay together with tours and transport.

Das Guesthouse liegt idyllisch hoch auf dem Berg und bietet einen traumhaften Blick auf Kandy und die Umgebung. Der schön angelegte Garten läd zum Relaxen ein und man kann das wundervolle Essen der Gastfamilie richtig genießen. Das Haus wird von einem Ehepaar geführt und verfügt über mehrere, mit hohem Standard ausgestattete Zimmer. Die freundliche und herzliche Art der Eigentümer machen einen Aufenthalt zum echten Highlight - nochmals " Danke" Sunanda! Der Weg nach Kandy kann problemlos mit dem Tuk-Tuk zu einem sehr günstigen Preis bewältigt werden. Selbst hier vermittelt die Gastfamilie entsprechend zuverlässige Fahrer. Zusammenfassend kann man sagen: Wer einen Ort zum Relaxen mit hervorragenden Essen und Wohlfühlgarantie sucht ist hier genau richtig! 10 von 10 Punkten...

We hadden vooraf niet goed gezien dat de accommodatie hoog op de heuvel lag en dachten dat het in het centrum lag. Achteraf gezien was het goed dat we niet in het centrum zaten, want Kandy is een zwaar vervuilde stad waar het verkeer langs je heen raast. De accommodatie ligt erg rustig en voor +- 400 r sta je in het centrum. Via trappen sta je ook zo in het stadscentrum, maar voor de terugweg is dit een behoorlijk steile, lange klim. Donald en Senanda zijn een erg lief koppel die er alles aan doen om het naar de zin te maken. Hij verzorgt een uitgebreid Westers/ Engels ontbijt en zij heerlijke Lankese maaltijden. De kamers zijn goed en de badkamers hebben we nog nergens zo schoon gezien als daar. Prima keuze voor in Kandy!

这家位置在山上的富人区里，离城区坐突突车大概300卢比，适合多住几天。女主人人超级好，早上的英式早餐很正点，丰富。房间很干净。总之是性价比很高的一家。下次去kandy还会选择住这里，真的是homestay。

Отличное место. Этот отель открылся полгода назад, хозяева Сунанда и Дональд очень стараются сделать все идеально, это очень приятно. Очень чисто, хороший дизайн дома, большое внимание уделяется мелочам, чистые полотенца дают каждый день, подскажут и помогут с маршрутом по достопримечательностям. Завтрак большой и вкусный,на ужин можно заказать все что захочешь. В центральной Шри-Ланка сложно найти место где вкусно кормят и заботятся о тебе, но нам это удалось. Рекомендую всем, за эти деньги это суперпредложениие. За нашу поездку мы были в 9 отелях, а вернуться хочется только к вам. спасибо огромное.

Встретили радушно.Дом очень понравился,уютно по домашнему,красивый холл,радушные хозяева.Номер со всеми удобствами.Отличная постель,душ и горячая вода,ванные принадлежности (хотя у нас было всё своё,так как в Шри-Ланке это проблема)в наличии.Завтраки полноценные с отличной сервировкой,посудой.Завтраки европейские.На вечер заказывали ужин с местной кухней.Всё очень вкусно.Кушали рядом с садиком,где радушной хозяйкой посажено много цветов и деревьев.В маленьком саду чего только нет и цветы, и кусты ,и фруктовые деревья.Утром прилетала ворона,которая желала нам доброго утра и приятного аппетита.Полная экзотика!Красивый вид с балкона,где как на ладони виден весь город.Красиво смотреть на город и утром и вечером.Так как дом находится в горах,воздух прохладный,нет жары,очень приятно.Если ещё раз поедем на остров обязательно сюда вернёмся!!!

отель находится на горе!потрясающий вид, очень тихо,чистый воздух! прекрасная еда!очень вкусный и разнообразный завтрак! до центра Канди ехать на тук-туке 10 минут!но не все знают, где отель расположен!мы пользовались услугами одного тук-тукера,дабы не ездить кругами! номер очень уютный и чистый!всем рекомендую!!!!
