Directions

By Road

The direction to our Holiday Home is as indicated on the map below being approximately 3.0 km from the City Centre around 20 minutes drive this is the main route. There is another good hill route approximately 4.5 km to the City and a walking route 1.5 Km to the City main road. Three persons can be accommodated in a three-wheeler (Tuk Tuk) subject to luggage but please notify us prior to leaving the City or your location as we can arrange and ensure you pay the minimum price with a trusted driver. We can collect from the city if there are more than three persons with our 'X Trail' vehicle, this is applicable during daytime and evening hours, under special circumstances can be accommodated after these hours by appointment. Collection and 'drop off' from and to the Airport is also available (110 km) and can be arranged through the Holiday Home giving the minimum rate with a new A/C vehicle and trusted driver, all we need is detailed notification, flight #, date & time, names, number of passengers and luggage which corresponds with your booking reference.

By Train

This link will accommodate all your requirements on the Sri Lankan rail system, but you need to reserve your seat(s) 24 to 48 hrs prior to travelling as you will appreciate 1st Class A/C and Second Class accommodation is sought after especially early morning journeys and on popular routes, third class is not too comfortable but you get there!. Kandy Railway Station is located on the map below is served very well with three-wheelers, but please notify us for collection as stated above for By Road.

By Coach

Bus Routes in Sri Lanka and www.ceylonlanka.info These links give a detailed list of journeys and contact #'s also included are city and tourist attractions. The A/C buses are plentiful and leave around every half hour from Colombo to Kandy both Private or Government buses are available, but their driving leaves a lot to be desired, it takes around 3.5 hrs to Kandy (115 Km) longer at peak times. The Bus terminal stands are close to the Railway Station as indicated on the Map, the same conditions are applicable relating to the collection as for the By Road & By Train sections.
